Action Against Hunger
Culinary luminaries Heston Blumenthal, Angela Hartnett, Fergus Henderson and Herbert Berger joined forces to help raise £140,000 at Action Against Hunger’s Fine Wine Auction and Dinner, held at City dining institution 1 Lombard Street. Reelife working with Peak Hire provided four 42″ plasma screens for a silent auction as well as for DVD playback. Four Nexo PS10 speakers and subs were positioned around the room and we provided a Midas Venice mixing desk with 2 Shure ULX radio mics for the hosts along as well as micing up the evenings entertainment.
Lambeth Conference 2008
The Main 'Big Top' Venue
Held every ten years the Lambeth Conference gathers representatives from the Anglican communion to Canterbury University. Reelife were involved early in the planning process and the scope of our involvment grew as we approached the event and as more detail was added to the outline programme. We provided cameras and projection in the main ‘Big Top’ venue as well as in the spouses venue and installed a temporary Avid suite for use by Trinity Wall Street who were filming various aspects of the event.
To reduce the carbon footprint Lambeth decided to install digital signage across the campus to keep the delegates updated on venue and program change.
We also provided sound, lighting and audio visual for the 140 or so fringe events and bible study groups along with technicians to support them and installed 3 temporary radio studios and liased with broadcasting companies from around the world providing video feeds and copies of session recordings.
This was one of our biggest conferences to date with over 20 crew on site across the 4 weeks of the build, running and breakdown of the conference. Our thanks go to all the camera crew and av engineers who made this possible and especially to Alan Wallace and Andy Bartlett from Affinity Events for choosing Reelife.

The Dynamics Processor provides eight complete channels of either compression or gating, with push button selection and LED status indicating the operational mode on an individual channel basis.
The compressor section on each channel provides adjustment of Threshold, Make-Up Gain, Attack and Release times and Ratio. There’s a push button selection of RMS or Vintage Emulation (Peak) response and a push button selection of Soft or Hard knee mode on each channel. The gate section on each channel provides adjustment of Threshold, Attack, Hold and Release times and Range.
Each channel has a six-segment input level meter and a ten-segment attenuation depth meter, which shows the gain reduction being applied in both compression and gating modes. Each channel has a sidechain bandpass filter with a rotary control knob for frequency control and is enabled by a push button switch.

This Graphic Equaliser provides ±12dB of boost and cut at 30 1/3 octave ISO centre frequencies from 25Hz-20kHz. It has an 80Hz high pass filter and a 12kHz low pass filter. Should the power fail to the unit, the signal will not be interrupted and all connections are balanced XLR and 1/4” TRS jack connectors.
ECG Conference
Another outing for our new panasonic projectors which are being used in the two main venues at ECG along with two vision mixers, 7 cameras and 8 plasmas. We have also provided equipment and crew to operate all the seminar rooms.
On-site recording and duplication of all the sessions has also been provided to this exciting new conference, now in it’s second year.
Klark Teknik Square 1 Splitters

This 8 Channel Active Microphone splitter can be used as 8 independent 1 input to 3 output splits or as a 1 to 24 output media splitter for press conferences etc. Each channel has its own gain control, auto-sensing phantom power switch and low cut filter. Each input has 2 electronically balanced outputs (identified as A and B, located on the rear panel) and a fixed gain (-6dB) driver feeding a transformer isolated output (identified as C, located on the front panel). This allows for easy access to individual channels for recording feeds. Each channel also has a solo feature routing that channel to the headphone output on the front panel to allow individual channel monitoring.
